An integral part of the Uroguidance program is the collection of data at each facility to analyze outcomes results and monitor the effectiveness of the program. In 2017 we performed a pilot program at a 113 bed facility in Dayton, Ohio. We analyzed data on several parameters, including the number of monthly urinary tract infections (UTIs), the number of antibiotic days for the treatment of UTIs, and the number of UTIs caused by antibiotic resistant bacteria. The facility census was also evaluated to control for any large changes in the number of residents which could skew the data. The results for the 2017 pilot program are shown below with comparisons to the data from the same months in 2015 and 2016 before the program was implemented.
